We drove to Cefalù and the timing could not have been any better. Our hotel was opposite a beautiful beach, and in fact the view from the balcony was the beach. A day of relaxation here was perfect and the weather was made to order.

Its seascape is beautiful with homes that go right down to the water and its 12th century cathedral twin spires that loom high above everything else.

We spent the afternoon on the beach, then took a walk to explore this little town.

After dinner we stopped for a gelato and saw some teenagers eating gelato in a unique way. They had made an ice cream sandwich out of chocolate gelato and a hamburger bun. Very interesting.

The sunset was beautiful and it was the perfect end to an awesome day in Sicily.

Amazing pictures, absolutely amazing. Just timeless. Love the comments on the gelato with hamburger buns. Leave it to kids. . . lol.
