Did you like Assissi…I didn’t know what to expect when I got there, and was pleasantly surprized again with this little place..What beauty in the valley underneath isn’t it?
I don’t know where you stayed there but I was in the San Francesco Hotel, which is right by the church and used to be an old convent. It certainly felt like it still was one, with the small rooms, & the stark furnishings. Clean and functional though and welcome for a good rest that night.

I’ll have a day there in September. Any do not miss spots or restaurants? We’re definitely doing a tour of the basilica, but other than that, I think we’ll just roam (Rome) around.

    • Tanza Marie – I think roaming around is the best. That is what I did and I wandered around some narrow residential areas and found fantastic photo ops. I do not recall eating at any particular place there…Just soak up the ambience and enjoy. Have a great time!
