Italy Magazine Blog Awards – The Shortlist

Two years ago, when I started writing this blog my purpose was to be able to write about my experiences and post photos while I traveled alone in Italy for three months. I had no idea then, that I would have interacted with so many people that only knew me from reading my blog.  And certainly I didn’t know then, that I would one day have so many followers and readers who have been extremely supportive and eager to learn about Italy. Since then I have come to know many of you personally and have learned much from reading and following your blogs, and also from your comments. And I thank all of you for being so interested and engaging and supportive. Your continued support encourages me to continue to write about Italy, the country I love so much.

Imagine my surprise then, two days ago, when I found out that margieinitaly made it to the shortlist by Italy Magazine for their Italy Blogger Awards! And what is even more amazing is that my blog is in the company of some of the finest blogs  about Italy. I have read most of these blogs and have personally met some of the bloggers, whom I consider to be friends.

This truly is an honor and I can honestly say that I now believe celebrities when they say that it is an honor just to be nominated. The exposure to my blog and all the other blogs as a result of Italy Magazine’s awards is tremendous, for which I am grateful.

Final voting is taking place now and will end February 8th. So if you are interested, I’d ask you to click on the link and check out all the blogs, and then cast your vote. Winners will be announced on February 10th, and I will keep you posted on the results.

Grazie mille. Un abbraccio. Baci.
Thank you so much.  A hug. Kisses.

    Ciao Margie,

I just love this post about the Italy Magazine Blog Awards! Good job….which leads me to ask your permission to post a similar article on my own blog. I have composed one with a couple of photos and the same Italy Blogger Awards photo that you used. If you would rather that I not use it, I am very okay with it.

Isn’t this exciting?? All the best to you, Margie! I loved your blog from the first time I found it, and you truly are a gifted writer who inspires me!

Of course you don’t need my permission to post anything you write on your blog. I love the thought so please do. Yes this entire event is overwhelming yet exciting!

Thank you again for all your support and am happy we have gotten to know each other.
